Hungarian beef stew

Today I'm making "Real Hungarian Beef Stew" from pp. 8-9 of the Nov-Dec 2008 issue of Cook's Illustrated. This is the second major use of my Dutch oven. There is a Penzey's Spices store in Scottsdale; by coincidence the paprika I bought there was the magazine's second highest rated.

Result? Adequate.
