Hm. It's about 3 hours since my first tablet of metronidazole, and my stomach hurts. I haven't had a stomach ache all summer. A lot of my students have, though. Is some bacteria in my belly reacting against the drug? Is some alien parasite about to burst through my abdomen and destroy me? (I could think of less amusing ways to go...)
