I just realized that I have been posting significantly fewer pretty pictures than I have in previous blogs. There is a reason for that. Even though this part of Budapest is beautiful, it has two things that complicate viewing. First off, if you are taking pictures of a place across the Danube, they are a bit too far for the reach of my digital camera: the images come off too small, even though to the human eye the view is lovely. Secondly, when wandering downtown often the streets are too narrow to get a shot that captures a whole building, or the traffic signals and wires and signs block the view. It has convinced my eye that it's hard to get good shots here.

Hm. Now I'm wondering whether that's just excuse-making. I'll have to make more of an effort tomorrow.
