Minor purchases
Here are a couple minor purchases I made. First is a carton of milk. "МОЛОКО" means milk, and it's pronounced mow-low-koe. It's "Little House in the Country" brand milk, which makes me laugh because it is ultrapasteurized milk and is sold in the dry goods section of the store without refrigeration. I doubt Gramma ever treated her milk like that. The pasteurization definitely affects the taste of the milk. I'd describe at as the taste of Eagle Brand (sweetened condensed milk) minus the sugar. Definitely a different taste for an American. I remember tasting something like this years ago and hating it. Now I'm okay with it.
And here's my most recent toilet paper purchase. The "3в1" in the upper-left means "three in one." Why 3-in-1? Because it has both design (strawberry print), scent (strawberry), and softness. Now just who in the world thought we would care about what our toilet paper looks like, I have no idea. Worse: just who thought my tush needs to smell of strawberries? And why do they show a puppy on the packaging? It's not like puppies use TP. I know what they use...
