Kazan — summer 2010

Our first summer session has come to an end, and on Saturday the majority of our students flew back home to the States. Today a second group arrived for a three-week program. Seems like a good bunch, but of course they are stunned by jet lag. Several fell asleep during the city tour. The city's have come from deadly Phoenix hit to aggravating Kazan heat, although after Phoenix I'm sure they can handle it.

A month has passed since the solstice. It's only 9:40 p.m., but already it's almost dark outside.
