A little singing lesson, part two
Today we started out with this Russian folk song:
The Russian song is called "I'm walking around with a morning glory flower". The words read:
I'm walking around with a morning flower
With a golden morning flower
I don't know where to put it
I don't know where to put it
I put the morning glory
I put the morning glory
I put the morning glory on my right shoulder
I put the morning glory on my right shoulder
Then from the right shoulder
Then from the right shoulder
I put it on the left from the right
I put it on the left from the right
Sheesh. Not the cleverest lyrics. Of course, compared to the American song "The Hokey Pokey", it's practically a creation of genius. Nice tune, too.
Then we did this Tatar folk song:
Damned if I know what it means. It's got something to do with guys and gals having a good time to accordion music. Of course, any romance that begins with accordion music has to go bad. Hm... "Bad Romance"... so this must be the Tatar folk-equivalent of a Lady Gaga song!

That sounds like it would be a great song. It would be nice to hear the music that goes to it. Thanks for sharing.
