Light bulbs
I need to replace some light bulbs, so that means I need to buy them. I found them at the market. Their appearance is no suprise. Here's a photo of the burnt-out one:
What did surprise me, though, was that once I had chosen the three bulbs, the young man at the booth took them from me, took me to a little machine he had, and right then and there verified that all three bulbs were working. Basically he puts them in the socket, and the machine buzzes if it has a good circuit. Wow. Good idea. Here's the device:
The angle on this shot doesn't show the bottom contact. Hm. Now am I 100% that there is one? Now that I think about it, I should go back and check.
