Another fascinating meaning of this word is "to say". But it is used only in case you are saying something unexpected, for example:

- Сколько лет твоему отцу?
- Что ты несешь? Это моя мать!

- А давай все деньги потратим на лотерейные билеты!
- Хватит нести чушь.

You can also see some really funny uses of this word if you search google images on "боже, что я несу".

Does нести take any/all of the motion verb prefixes?

Don responds: A proper answer to that question would take quite a bit of explication. The short answer is yes. For details I recommend either Muravyova's “Verbs of Motion in Russian” or William Mahota's “Russian Motion Verbs for Intermediate Students.”
