Жаворонок, сова
In English we have several words for a person who likes to go to bed early and get up early: morning person, early riser, early bird. People who like to go to bed late and get up late are night people or night owls. If you go to a Russian dating service like http://russianwives4u.net or http://russianstuds4u.net (not that I myself have ever been to such a site), you may find that you have to specify whether you are an early bird or a night owl. The Russian equivalent of an early bird is жаворонок, literally a skylark, and the Russian equivalent of a night owl is сова, literally an owl. So you can fill out those parts of your dating profile like this:

Daily routine ☐ I'm a night owl.
☑ I'm an early bird. |

When I wrote this entry, I included links to two fake Russian dating sites. It was my way of poking fun at foreigners who would actually make use of such a service. I designed it using an html form, but of course I didn't want Visa card numbers or expiration dates, so I did not include a "submit" button. The button that looked like a login button was just a picture with no form-processing script attached. I looked forward to reviewing my stat counter data to see how many people had followed the links and enjoyed my joke.
Imagine my surprise, then, when the data showed me that someone in Dubai not only had followed the links but actually filled in the Visa and expiration date form, which were then reported to me in the stats I received. I thought the lack of a "submit" button meant I would never receive form information, even indirectly. It's still a mystery to me how that worked. Nonetheless, I don't want that type of thing to happen again, so I have replaced the html form tags with plain images that can't even appear to receive data. That should solve the issue. For those curious about what the data looked like, I include a picture below.

lol omg that is amazing!! I cannot believe someone actually stumbled upon the fake page and submitted credit card information!!! Maybe the one with heavy make-up was highly desired lol :)
