Корица
The Russian word for cinnamon is корица.
What color is cinnamon? It's brown, right? And what is the Russian word for brown? It's коричневый. Wow, what a coincidence.

This is not coincidence) But colour name also not derived from the spice - корица means bark (diminutive), and both colour and spice names come from it.
Spice, because of it's really a bark of cinnamon, and коричневый colour, because of it's a common colour for a bark.
