Grades
August 1st, 2012In the past when a Russian student has received a test, they have received a grade on it on a scale of 1-5. Five is an A. Four is a B. Three is a C. Two, theoretically, is a D, but it's actually a failure. They didn't assign ones all that often.… more »
Feedback from Kiev
August 1st, 2012I was reading student feedback from Kiev today. The most common comment? "My host family feeds me too much, and then I feel bad because I don't finish and then they tell me I'm wasting food."

Paratroopers day

Hot water has returned
August 3rd, 2012Ah, the hot water is back this morning! Let's see, it was supposed to come back on on July 7, and today is August 3rd, so that makes it a mere 27 days late.
